A letter from September 12th, 2023

Time Travelled — almost 3 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, You need to remember that not everything in your past needs to define who you are right now. The fact that a phone call made in 1999 is causing you such anxiety & heartache as these words are written proves that the concrete has not set. I hope & pray the outcome is merely a conversation, a panicky hiccup, just a reminder that you need to deal with ****. Because you are better than that phone call. It was made out of spite, revenge, anger & a desperate grasp for control. I really hope, Future Me, that you’ve realized by now that not everyone deserves your forgiveness. The person who made the phone call? Deserves absolutely nothing from you. Remember, set your boundaries in concrete & not in sand.
