A letter from Sep 09, 2023

Dear FutureMe, It is almost the end of the year I find myself in a challenging situation. I am still in the process of searching for a job, and it's safe to say that things haven't been going as smoothly as I had hoped. My anticipated surgery has yet to take place, and the new treatment has not commenced either. My college journey, to put it honestly, has been less than stellar, bordering on disappointing. I've noticed that my friends seem to be slowly drifting away, and my networking skills still leave much to be desired. At this point, it feels like there isn't much to celebrate or be proud of. I'm penning this letter with the hope that when you read it, you are in a much better place, both personally and professionally. I want you to recognize and appreciate the immense effort you put into reaching where you are. Please don't take your achievements for granted, and always strive for continuous improvement. As I stand here today, I find myself far from content, and I can't honestly claim to be truly happy. While nothing is terribly wrong, nothing stands out as exceptional either. I may be idealizing the circumstances you find yourself in now, but from my current perspective, they seem preferable to any potential future where I don't keep pushing forward. I sincerely hope that you have indeed reached a more favorable point in your life. I hope you've been able to assist and support those you love and care about, just as you have done in the past. Most importantly, I hope you've extended that same helping hand to yourself, as you've done for others. In closing, I want you to know that this letter comes from a place of reflection and a deep desire for your well-being.
