A letter from August 21st, 2023

Dear FutureMe, Heyy gorgeous girllll. Happy 16th birthday. You can finally legally drink. Not like you weren't before. Jk mummmm. I'm writing this near the end of the summer holidays of the magic year of 2023. And this song is perfect because I'm listening to pompeii so it matches because I'm crying writing this because I'm actually getting older. Wow and to believe in lockdown it could of ended it all if u know what I mean. I hope your reading this with friends and family because I live for the drama. I hope the rest of high-school is good. I'm going into Yr 9 scaredd. Good luck on your gcses. And I hope I'm not single because imagine celebrating one of your biggest bdays singleeee. But don't date an idiot and if for some stupid reason I'm dating leijai leave him rn idc do it. My type is either asian orrrr American (mat from the sturnio triplets) or david Tennant. I wanna be a spirit investigator and famous. So don't screw it up. Have I gone to alot of concerts like david cushner, Coldplay, oh hellos, lyn lapid, Taylor swift. Plz say yes. Are we still friends with gracie, either way please tell her she saved me in so many ways and I wouldn't be here without her. She got me though my hardest times. And don't forget the matching yin yang tattoos dad promised to get with u when your 16 and Lucy's 18th bday. Serious note I'm so proud of u for making it so far and what ever u decide to u I'm so happy for u. Please say thanks to gracie, dad, mum, Claire, syd, logan, Beth, aaye, Sophie, zayann. Gracie has been my friend for so long and was always there for me even when I was a cow. Dad will always be my role model to always push yourself but never stop living your life to the fullest. Mum gave me an amazing childhood and would give anything up for me and my siblings. Syd is an amazing sister and gave me so much girl advice. Logan made me laugh but he would always keep my secrets and I would keep his. Beth, aaye, Sophie and zayaan are the best friend group ever and always accepted me even when I was horrible to them. You guys saved me And so did the small things like music, nature, travelling, night time drives, girl sleepovers, sunsets, talks about life, stargazing, camping. Thank you for an amazing childhood and future me have fun in life. Young teyla out xx
