A letter from Aug 10, 2023

Time Travelling — almost 3 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Olive, I don't know the plans God has for you or what you might be going through, but I want to tell you that you're strong and blessed. I hope by now you've found love and genuine friendships. I hope you've truly grown mentally, physically and emotionally. When you get this letter, you will have graduated. It might be scary but what fire can we go through that God will not deliver us from? Most importantly, I hope you never depart from God. No matter how much you sin, I want you to always run back to Him because we are living in a world where everything and anything changes but He will forever be the only constant presence in our life. I hope you've finally bought or gotten your dream phone. Are we still friends with Nnedimma, Remen, Tovia, Simi, Navi, Olisa, Amaka, Confidence, Chioma, Faith, Olivia etc... Do we still have a crush on Benedict or did we later date Moses? How are our nephews and the new baby? Did we graduate with first class? That Ebuka boy I hope he didn't try anything funny too. I know I'm asking way too many questions but I'm so excited as to how the future will be. I hope it's as bright as my imagination. Never give up Olive, never feel insecure too because I promise you, girl, you're so beautiful. How is Daddy's health too? almost forgot about that. Don't stay angry for too long, enjoy life as much as you can. Go out and have fun, meet new people and talk to them, and call your old friends. Just live! I hope we have a good job too and I hope we are out of this country most importantly but that's a stretch, right? Poverty or "being broke" is not an option. I hope mummy is okay too, I want you to start being more confident with your opinions. Start posting on TikTok, Instagram and Twitter. We won't be young forever. I love you, Olive. We've been through so much. Let's keep pushing. P.S: Make sure you're on your way to publishing a book and don't think I've forgotten about our crocheting hobby. I can't wait to see God's plan for us! Yours sincerely, Olive(18 years old)
