Dear FutureMe,
You wrote this letter because you’re lost, broken, and overwhelmed with everything that's happened in your life at the moment (August 10, 2023).
By the time you read this again when it is sent to your email 5 years from now, I hope you are now in a peaceful state of life. I believe you already graduated with your degree; I hope you aimed for a Latin honor. I hope you’ll continue to be passionate about art. I hope you now have a decent job or business that will support you and your family. I hope you have now your studio (always been your dream); I hope you got your braces (you always wanted your teeth to be fixed because it’s your biggest insecurity; lol); and I hope you've already visited your dream destinations together with your family. I hope you spoil your siblings with the things that you want when you are their age. I hope you created a stronger bond with the people who were there for you at your lowest.
And finally, I hope you are genuinely happy. I hope you have already healed from all the things you keep within yourself, and I hope you were able to forgive those who hurt you.
But no matter what (if ever you do not achieve everything you mentioned above), know that I am proud of you for coming this far. It’s okay if you’re not in that phase of your life yet; just take your time and keep going. Be gentle with yourself, okay?
