Time Travelled — almost 3 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, How’s life? I hope you’re busy and happy! Sorry that this is going to be a sad letter but I’m really sad recently. I know I just graduated a week ago but I’ve been looking for a job and I can’t even get a basic minimum wage one :( I feel useless sitting at home and I cant even cook. I feel jealous when Zei goes to work and I also feel ashamed, I’ve got a degree but I can’t even get a Starbucks job. It’s the summer holidays and I cant even take my sisters out because I have no money. I have to ask my parents and sister for money for driving lessons. I feel so useless it’s ******* me every day. I can’t even relax, every chance I get I’m applying for a random job, and every email I get is a rejection. I wish I started looking earlier, now it’s too late. I’m just telling you all this to remind myself that it will all work out, I hope you’re earning lots now and keeping your family happy. I really just want to time travel to you now and skip all this anxiety. This is also to remind you to be grateful, if you don’t like your job, just remember all the times you cried and prayed to be in a position like this, or just get a new one! Now you’ll have experience unlike me who hasn’t worked a day in her life so no one wants to hire her. I know I’m not the only person who’s struggling with this but I really feel hopeless, I know my family don’t care but I just feel bad. I really just want you to come tell me I’m being dramatic and that you’ll get your dream job. I need someone to tell me to relax and enjoy my last summer, I know I’ll regret spending it crying every day. You’ll probably find this so cringe, I am too. I just hope you’re healthy and love life right now, if you’re not, I hope you find comfort in knowing that your past self wants you to be the happiest person ever, and wishes you keep her healthy.
