My aunt died from ****** cancer and my mom cared for her daughter. She is younger than me. She is kind and sweet. Looking for love and a home. A family. I welcomed her and gave her my things. But I could feel my heart hardened. I'm not used to affection and hugs. I only hug my mom. I'm not good with words or with taking care of people. But today was different. We attended a church mass and my spirit shifted. I held her hands and prayed. She leaned her head on my shoulder. I'm the big sister she never had. And she is the younger sister that I never had. God works in mysterious ways. Lord, soften my heart. Allow me to be a good role model and give her the love she is missing in her life. She deserves to be accepted.
