Dear FutureMe,
I just watched “a man called otto” today, and oh boy did it make me bawl. The coin thing reminded me of Jed, but instead of a coin it was the 50 peso bill I gave him for the tricycle fare because I didn’t like the idea of him paying for mine.
I just can’t help connecting him in every single thing. We shared short moments, but he left plenty of memories that will linger for a very long time. There are a lot of things remind me of him. The drink he usually buys, the type of eyeglass frame he uses, certain phrases “balakajan”, his favorite viand, the places we used to walk together, Lacoste Blanc and Dior Sauvage, paper flowers, and more.
I loved Jed so much. I still do. I’ve learnt a lot from him, and I hope he did too. He might not be my last but he will forever be my first love.
I hope that by the time this letter reaches you, you’re finally healed and have moved on. I hope you meet a man who will love you like how Otto loved Sonya. Never settle for less than you know you deserve.
