A letter from Jul 19, 2023

Dear FutureMe, Hello! What better way to vent that to write to myself, right? I guess by this time, you would be grateful or resentful towards me. Besides, the choices I will make will impact your current status, wouldn't it? Your early 20s self (me) is hoping a lot for you. I feel stuck today. I am torn between pursuing my creative dreams or my capitalist dreams. I want to use my creativity and get recognized for it, but I would also want a stable job and a comfortable life. Did you pursue art? or are you happy with your current job? I cannot tell. I sincerely hope that you still write or draw to get your creative juices going, tho. I am currently going through this dilemma, and by 3 years, I hope you're over it. I hope by the time you're reading this, you would have learned how to love your own body. There should be more pictures, more outfits, and more self-love going on! I would also want to see more of your thoughts and picture posted on social media! I hope you stopped self-censorship. Your 23 year old self has a lot in mind right now. By the time your 26, I sincerely hope you are where you want to be and have stuff figured out. Are you, by any chance, "free" now? Whether you have cut the shackles yourself or had other circumstances help you, I am glad if you are already free. 3 years is a short time. A lot could happen. I wish the best for you and for your future endeavors. I will do my best to make good choices, so you should attempt to choose the best too! -FCL
