Time Travelled — almost 3 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, As of March 10, 2023 you are at your absolute lowest point in life. You just jumped out of your small pond(little ole state of Mississippi), out of your comfort zone,(parent's house) straight into your own personal struggle bus.( big ole state of Texas) You have always needed this push, but I don't think you understood the trajectory of the growth that would require of you. That decision would forever change you. To start off, lets take a look at the first few months of your big move... First off, you have completely ruined your credit at the tender age of 21 causing a debt that you never imagined yourself owing. This was the first crack that started the shatter of the ***** of who Destiny was, starting the creation and birth of who Destiny is today in 2026. You have always been financially illiterate and could never hold on to money for long. You've always known the struggle of holding on to money but somehow it always escaped from your fingertips right under your nose. Another crack that reared around the corner that has caused you distress and insecurity since 2021 has been your failure in education. This has caused such a self esteem issue within, down to your love life. You often have thoughts such as these: "God does not have a husband for me," "No man would think twice about marrying me or being serious enough about me to want to date me. I'll always be an after thought or someone's absolute last choice." A few more examples would be "I will never be able to go into the corporate world because no one would ever take a chance on me with no degree." These thoughts were birthed all because I hadn't obtained a degree and I thought very little of myself at this point. The crack that broke the camel's back was you had completely lost you relationship with God. You were so far gone by this point and it all started when you stopped paying your tithes. When you first started working for Moeisha, your check was no more than $300 each check at first and what blows my mind to this day is that you never went without or struggled while making that little amount of money. You want to know what the common denominator was? You paid your tithes and you did it faithfully without a second thought. Now that I have introduced you to the 21 year old Destiny, Let me introduce you to the 25 year old ME. You know how scared you were walking into American Airlines petrified at the thought of how to interact with ignorant as well as belligerent customers everyday? Yeah girl, you're in THE CORPORATE WORLD now hun. You got certifications as well as the education you needed to finally feel the peace you needed to move up in the world. You have done your duty of getting your foot in the door as your parents always told you and you have now moved up because someone finally took a chance on little ole you! You are in a great space financially, you now know how to balance your checks and not overspend as well as holding on to your money for a little while longer. Andddd, you no longer depend on Uber money to survive, that's your play money. You have paid all of your credit debt off and is now considered in good standing with Capital One. You have also opened up a high yield savings account while also making investments. You faithfully pay your tithes and found a GREAT church you can call home. You also prioritize God first ahead of any other thing in your life. You found your way back to him girl. Lastly, I know you always thought yourself unworthy of a relationship but God gave you a HANDSOME and beautiful chocolate man that has not stopped dating you since he met you. You finally know how to date because he took the time and patience out to guide you while also introducing to the real romance you have always sought. Now that I am where I am today, I finally understand why God had to bring me through such a dark time to get here and I am forever grateful for the lessons he bestowed upon me. Here's to many more years of getting to know me and loving me more each day God blesses me to wake up.
