Dear Rodney in Retrospect From 26' ,
I hope this letter finds you all well and be filled with the satisfaction of achieving your goals. Looking back to the time I am writing this, I can sense your determination and drive to succeed in the field of medicine. You have come a long way, and I believe that your commitment and reliance on the spirit of Christ will continue to guide you toward your aspirations.
You made a promise to yourself, stating that there would be no "if's," "and's," or "but's" in your pursuit of succeeding, and I trust that you have stayed true to your words. Remember that the feelings of inter-divinity you experienced when you were thinking those thoughts; are a testament to your deep-rooted desire to make a difference in the world through medicine. Your willingness to use your expertise in even the most challenging circumstances, such as in the wilderness, which reflects your dedication to serving others.
You have acknowledged that your journey has been difficult, with struggles and battles along the way. However, you have recognized the hand of the 'I AM' in allowing you to come this far, and you believe that He has a plan for you. Rest assured that your time, energy, and effort will not be wasted or overlooked by Yeshua HaMashiach. May your unwavering determination and ability to meet this goal come through into fruition.
I recall all the promises I asked of God in my middle school years. The fact that you have already received some of those blessings, like owning your first car and embarking on the path to becoming a physician, is a testament to your strong willpower. Your desire to have a beautiful and successful family aligns with God's vision of having intimacy and compassion and sharing love with a wife and kids. All these are blessings from God's throne.
It is with joy that I can see in retrospect the well-being of my loved ones. I hope that my mother has successfully advanced in her RN degree and is flourishing in her career, perhaps even pursuing a Master's degree and turning into Nurse Practitioner. May the cousins I have here, especially, Gaelle, who holds a dear place close to the heart, have made a successful transition to America and be on their way to becoming whatever they have in mind, and for Gaelle, may she be in route to becoming, Dr. Marthe-Gaelle Pasteurin, Psy.D. I also wish the best for Katherin, and I hope she has found fulfillment and happiness in all her endeavors, becoming Dr. Katherin Roman, Psy.D. Ralph, I hope he has reached for the skies and achieved his dreams, whether it be as Dr. Ralph Mesidor, DPT, BSN, or in the field of Engineering as Ralph Mesidor, BSc.E.
As for you, Rod, I hope that you have been able to release the burden of longing for Katherin and have found peace in moving forward. It is said that love often finds us in unexpected places, and I trust that you have discovered a deep connection with someone special during your time in med school or where God pleases.
May God bless you with patience, growth, and evolution as you pursue your medical aspirations. I hope that you are well on your way to becoming Dr. Rodney W. Bazile, D.O. MSc/MMSc, MD/Ph.D, or any other title that signifies your dedication to the field of medicine.
Keep pushing forward, Rod, and never lose sight of the passion that has brought you this far. Embrace the challenges, celebrate the milestones, and rely on the divine forces guiding you. The same Godly forces that took you past the 11:59 PM deadlines throughout your first 4-years. Although, challenging and barely/slightly averaging above the bell curve with your U-GPA. You are truly blessed. Just look back.
Wishing you all the best throughout your endeavors and in your journey. All the people I love in this email and including myself. Mom, Gaelle, Katherin, and Ralph I will always have a deep love for you guys.
Sincerely,
Rodney from 23'
