20 Years Ago - Your Past Self Has Written You A Letter

Time Travelling — almost 20 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, This is NOT spam. This is your PAST self. Seriously. I am/we are writing this on April 24, 2006...20 years ago! Want proof? Your first girlfriend's name was Teresa. You had a cat named Karl throughout your childhood and into early adulthood. You came out when you were 20. You had major surgery in 2005. So there. Ha. I'm you and you're me. So, are you still single after all these years? Found a woman yet that hasn't broken your heart? You're getting close to the big 4-0 now...how does it feel? Where do you live now? I'll take a guess: Montreal or Toronto, right? If you live in Montreal now, did you find the "joie de vivre" that you were looking for? Did you ever get around to visiting Europe? You/I change so much every few years it's really hard to guess what countries we would have picked. Remember when we wanted to see Finland so badly for its amazing human rights? Let me guess: you're still a Pagan, perhaps even more of a Pagan than we are right now. Your faith is stronger than ever, and the compassionate Kwan Yin is your matron goddess. No? Have you gotten around to making an album yet? Is it a mix of electronic and organic sounds with evocative vocals? If not - why not? This is your gift! Don't waste it! Who are your best friends right now? Do you still talk to Ross, Steve, or Vi? Are you still at Rogers? If so, contratulations - you're really in it for the long haul. Unless, of course, you found fame and fortune with your creativity. Are Mom and Dad still alive? Are they still really religious? How many cats do you have now? Please don't tell me you became the cat lady at the end of the block...*chuckle* ...that is, if you still identify as female. Where are you on the gender scale now? Do you own anything? A vehicle? A house? A condo? Are you eating better and exercising more? We always were the geeky indoorsy type weren't we?? Well, I can't think of anything else to ask. Only the future will hold the answers.
