A letter from May 26, 2023

Dear FutureMe, I’m typing this a week before the end of freshman year 🤨 I don’t wanna sound too cringey when I’m writing this, but I also wanna cry when I read it in 3 years! I literally have no idea what my future will look like but here are my hopes: -Boyfriend pls 🙏🙏 (It’s ok if not you’re still awesome) -Good grades/getting into college (knowing what I wanna do for my career and stuff) -Good friends (I have a few like Lina and Talia and then Kim’s Girls but idk if they truly like get me so I wanna find people who do) -Self acceptance (since I’m really insecure rn and can’t even take off my mask at school it’s terrible) -Healthier (with habits like not being on screens all the time and physically like exercising and eating healthier) I hope you’re still in touch with old people from your life like Lupita and Gali or Willa and Natasha, even though I’m not rly friends with them right now 😕I’m so excited to read this it seems so far away and it will be so crazy when I actually do read it. I can’t imagine being able to drive a car (I’m gonna start studying for my permit soon) or being 18 years old. It’s weird that I’m sitting here writing this and at the same time you’re reading it, but I’m looking forward to you being surprised when you get this email, I hope you like it and remember me 🤓 I don’t really know what to write but I hope we’re happy and doing good ☺️ Love, freshman Tessa❤️❤️ May 25, 2023
