A letter from May 25th, 2023

Dear FutureMe, Hey, I should be graduating soon, I’m writing this as my freshman year is about to end, ofcourse I’m still close with Miriam shes the one that got me trough my hardest moments, even if so I made great friends this year, Josue,Shawn,Liliana, Daniela,Nati,Mirsi,Donetsi,Anna,etc but theyve been good friends so far, I went trough a lot this year like getting over my first love, messing around with some people to get over that person, ofcourse it’s a long road and I’m not ready for anything with anyone else, I still speak to him and it’s going great, we’re both trying to form a friendship for the first time. Went through lot of problems with my family, it reminds me of an old saying my grandpa used to say “los mismos problemas que pasas en casa son los que te ayudarán a salir de ahí” and he’s right. Those same problems will be the motivation for you to get away from there, I wouldn’t say I’m in a toxic environment but it’s not the best either, I hope it gets better over the years, either way back to school, this year oh my GOSHHH I learnt so much, met so much people and went trough my highest and lowest points, I found out a lot of people don’t like me which I’m actually cool about it, I don’t really care, I’m just really looking forward to graduating, well not really, I don’t wanna grow up. But I don’t wanna stay young forever, I wanna work, get my own apartment, start my own life, but ofcourse it takes so much strength and maturity to do so. My main goals are being a lawyer or a aviator, which both careers need a lot of money which I’ll try my best in the following years to get a full ride scholarship, I have a lot of high expectations for college, my main goal is Yale. But I know I can’t score that high, so I’ll simply be okay with Towson, it’s a beautiful college and I’d love to be a college graduate following my brother,I wanna be a diplomat, Sophie. don’t let your years get to waste and work hard, you deserve the world and more, and we’ll achieve it I promise.
