A letter from May 19, 2023

Dear FutureMe, I hope you’re doing okay, already struggling and high school just started, but remember what your goal was. You wanted to help animals maybe even people! You have such a kind and strong heart, hopefully you volunteered at an animal shelter and helped animals find homes! (You better have 😡) Hopefully your still friends with Jahzara, she’s the bestest friend you could ever have you shouldn’t lose that, she brings you happiness and her family is closer with you than your own. I hope you’re doing better, life is a bit of a mess right now, I just wanna leave home and live with people who understand my goals and don’t bring me down for my choice of happiness. You are strong and I know you have your goal set and you won’t let anyone bring you down, even the people who mean to most to you. Remember prioritize the people who make you happy even if it’s not mom, if you have to prioritize someone else that’s okay! Like ruby! Ruby makes me happy and knows how to make you feel better when your at your lowest moments, she’s an amazing friend and you know it too. If you lost contact with her you better talk to her again because she means the world to me right now and she better still mean that much to you. I want you to remember when you talk bad about yourself your talking bad about the most gorgeous little girl, a strong one too. There’s not a lot of strong little girls raised that young, you were brought through hell and back at such a young age. It was unfair to you, hopefully you learned how to cope with all that anger like maybe a new hobby! I like arts and crafts right now, what do you like? I also know you’re gonna hate me for asking but are you dating anyone special yet?? Are they a boy or a girl 🫢, hopefully you talked to that pretty girl from gym (you know who I’m talking about right?) and what about that cute boy! The one with the glasses or is it someone new? Or is it no one 😢 that’s okay if your single! (I guess) self love should always come first! If you are dating someone, they better be treating you right, never go for bare minimum know your worth. Even if it seems like no one loves you right now, I do. I love you so much and you mean the world to some people even if they don’t show it, so keep doing what you’re doing and stay so strong for me, please don’t give up. Sincerely Els
