Dear FutureMe,
I feel like I would tell myself at graduation that I’m very proud of myself for going this far into highschool and trying my best to put my all into work and trying to get through all 4 years of high school, hope I also had fun throughout the years and that now we’ve finally made it to adulthood leaving central for good to continue on with my future. Some values that I want to hold onto even for my future graduation self is too, never give up, always be proud of your accomplishments that you’ve made, and most importantly try not to pressure yourself too much because you have made you and your family proud even just standing here today and celebrating on you finally leaving school and going on to college. You’ve made so many achievements in your life that even your elementary school self would be the most proud of you for everything you’ve done in school and till now. My best friends would have to be the two people whos been with me ever since I moved here into pickerington which is “Bryce Morris and Mira Steinhoff'', these two are really important to me because they have always been there by my side even when I just got into elementary, middle, and high school and will most likely be a big attachment to me for the rest of my life. The people I do want to remind myself to value however would definitely be my mom, she’s inspired me to be very hardworking and serious about school and she pushes me into a way that I’m able to do good in school and take many opportunities I need to be successful. She doesn’t play about school work either so she’s also another reason why I don’t slack off in school and take school very seriously. I’ve looked up to her all of my life because of how funny, encouraging, hardworking, productive, and most importantly loving she is with me and her family. She’s the reason on why I care about my grades and school work, and I’m forever grateful she’s always been proud and there for me no matter what grade of performance I have in school, because she knows that I try my hardest in school and encourages me to keep going every single day. Some advice I have for my future self is definitely remember that life is going to be tough and get harder as time goes on especially since we’re an adult now (but as of right now we are still getting there), but I would want myself to know that it’s never okay to give up without trying something first. There are a lot of exciting things to experience in life along with being able to (hopefully) fully be able to drive, move out to our own apartment, and start life with being a young adult. Just know that you got this and that you are capable of so many things because we’ve made it so far into life along with finishing highschool so now to this next chapter in life, let’s not stress and be scared of it, let’s just roll with it and make life more fun for ourselves. Something I want my future self to remember about me is that don’t ever forget to take care of yourself first, we’re never going to forget the times that you have put other people before yourself and that to this day you're probably still trying to learn how to take care of yourself properly. But hopefully you are getting the proper care that you need and always remember that you need to always love and take care of yourself, make yourself a priority first instead of shoving your feelings and life away for other people. Caring about others is important just as much as caring for yourself too, so don’t ever forget to do that and never give up on yourself because the past is only helping us make a better future out of it and for our life. Some biggest hopes that I have for myself is that hopefully I’m able to get into a good college and that I can have a good life as I get into adulthood, because when I’m older in my 30’s or such I do hope to be a full time therapist to helps others, but first I want to spend a lot of time on studying it and at the same time enjoying the life of finally not being into regular school (until I get into actual college). But I also hope to be able to still spend time with my family and friends and even bring more people into my life and be able to accomplish my dreams while having the love and support from my family and friends as time goes on in the future.
