A letter from May 11, 2023

Dear FutureMe, Does love so beautiful exist outside literature? A question that one can only answer with time. Stories are written with some truth behind them, so I stay hopeful that one day my answer will be yes. Future me, I hope I am lonely now so you can thrive. You deserve to be loved by people who don’t find pleasure in seeing you break. Sometimes love can be nasty, or it slowly drifts off as change occurs between two people but that does not justify feeling that you are unlovable. You could never be unlovable, because I love you. I hope this finds you (me) in a place of happiness, never content, but true feelings of joy. I suffer now so you can be great, but don't feel bad for me because I am growing. I have grown into the beautiful you.
