A letter from May 10, 2023

Time Travelled — almost 3 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, I hope you're doing well and achieving your dreams as you read this letter. It's been a few years since you turned 18 and graduated high school. At that time, you had three goals that you were determined to achieve. I hope you were able to achieve them all. Firstly, you aimed to sign a professional soccer contract when you turned 20. I hope you worked hard and trained consistently to make this dream a reality. Remember, success comes with discipline, commitment, and perseverance. If you achieved this goal, congratulations! You should be proud of yourself. If not, don't give up. Keep working hard, and you'll get there eventually. Secondly, you wanted to learn to play the guitar. Playing a musical instrument can be an excellent way to express yourself and unwind after a long day. I hope you made time to learn and practice the guitar. It might have been challenging, but I hope it was a rewarding experience that allowed you to expand your skills and creativity. Lastly, you wanted to start praying five times a day as part of your Islamic faith. I hope you stayed committed to your faith and made time for prayer every day. Remember, faith can be a source of comfort, guidance, and inspiration in your life. It's essential to stay connected to your faith as it can give you a sense of purpose and inner peace. Whatever you have accomplished or are still working towards, I hope you are happy, healthy, and surrounded by loved ones. Remember to always aim high, stay focused, and never give up on your dreams. With love, Your 18-year-old self,
