A letter from May 07, 2023

Time Travelled — almost 3 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Hi, my future self! It's me—the you from the past. I prayed for you to go to college. Did we do it? I hope we did. Are you happy? I hope you are. Are you proud of yourself? I hope you are. To be honest, I'm so tired right now. I'm so close to giving up on life. I feel disappointed in myself all the time. But whenever I think about you, I get this feeling that I want to keep moving forward. I want to be successful. I want you to be happy. I want you to be proud of yourself. You are the reason I'm still holding on. Because I want you to be proud of me. So if we accomplish our dreams in the future, just know that we did it together. You and I did our best. We gave our blood, sweat, and tears to make it happen. My dream and your dream. I worked hard to achieve it, and you made it happen. Thank you. I'm proud of you for not giving up. I hope you're proud of me too. By the time you read this, three years have already passed. I hope you're finally happy and smiling genuinely. To end this letter, I'm praying to God to help you overcome whatever obstacles you may face in the future. Sincerely, PastMe
