Dear FutureMe, Hello, I’m not sure what to say lol. I am terrible at starting emails. Like seriously why is the opening of an email so difficult 😭!? Anyway hi, it is your 18th birthday today 🥳!!! (Hopefully if I have sent this to the right date, you know we’re not good at maths). So, happy birthday anyways! How do you feel being a pure big adult? Clem always said that she thought she was all grown up at 18, but once she actually grew up fr - like in her 20s looking back - she actually was still such a kid at 18. I imagine it is the same for you. And you would know that. I feel that I already have a really mature way of thinking, which I know is probably stupid because I’m obviously very young, but I think you will still be the same. 18 years old, but realising that you are still young, as well as understanding how older people think too. Okay so I’m being very boring so let’s get into some questions. You’ve finished school yay! Starting Uni soon (maybe 🤨)!? 1) Did you get all As Nat 5??? 2) Did you get all As Higher??? 3) Did you do Advanced Higher? What did you get for that?? 4) Did you enjoy school overall?? Was being a Senior better than BGE? 5) What is your current job? When was your first job?? 6) Are you starting Uni this year? Still Glasgow Uni (pleaseee)?? 7) What are you studying at Uni?? 8) Was English as stressful as I imagined?? 9) What was your favourite subject in the end? Still maths? 10) Who was your favourite teacher?? 11) DREAM JOB??? Ok let’s stop with all the School, Uni, Work stufff…. Here are some even more important questions: 12) Favourite band!?? 13) Is Esme still your best friend?? 14) What new friends have you made?? 15) Do you still have little Lemon Earrings? lol 16) Have you been to/ are going soon to New York or Toronto?? 17) Have you/ are you going to move out? Are you excited?? 18) DO YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND??? Have you had another gf?? 19) Did you ever actually do fun teenage things?? 20) What instruments do you play? Are you good?? So maybe I should have wrote this a bit earlier but here is my introduction to me, currently. But First thank you for answering my questions I really appreciate it, I’m literally DYING to know the answers. So I am 14 year old Rosa, I turn 15 in 3 months. So you are just over 3 years older than me. Honestly not all that much. I suspect you haven’t moved out yet, not living that fun Uni life. But still legally an adult so oofty. Anyways I’m 14, my favourite band is Nirvana ofc (I swear if that changes you’re so dead), my best friends are Esme, Jack and Eva; my hair is all blue. Omg yeah!! What is your hair like? Still dying it girl? Or are you boring natural?? It is 23:48 currently and I should go to sleep so I get my perfect 7 and a half hours sleep, but I’m trying to finish this off. The one big thing, the only thing really, that I want to know from you. Do you feel purpose in your life. 14 year old you spends too much time sitting on her *** watching TV. I really have this desire to work man. I just want to workkk! I don’t do any clubs because I’m lame so I have so much free time. I either watch TV or do homework, genuinely all I do after school. I just find myself such a boring person and I feel like I should be doing something. Recently I’ve been so fixated on getting a job, I really feel that will give me purpose in life. Also I have this habit of walking into town like 3 times a week, headphones blasting. I love music, and I love just walking about places, and shopping. So money from this job can fuel my shopping addiction. As soon as I’m 15 I’m going to try to get myself a job. Pleaseee tell me I managed that! Other news, I’m just getting over Nina, my first girlfriend. Please tell me you have a beautiful girl now? You really deserve it. Anyways I think it is the perfect time to sign off this letter, but super quick before I go, go buy yourself a packet of jelly babies!! I know you still love them 😉. Oh and tell me the price!
