A letter from Apr 18, 2023

Dear Feyi, hi it's your birthday, how is life? just letting you know this is the point in time when life isn't that great for us. I'm confused. my *boyfriend broke up with me a few ago. I didn't know how to deal with it at first, and now my feelings are confusing. there's this boy, idk maybe he's still in our life, but I think I like him. he's elijah (sosina), ring a bell? I don't know if I really like him or if its just my way of trying to deal with the breakup. well I really wanna go to prom with him. prom is in like 3 months and I'm so delulu to the point where I've been browsing through matching prom outfits for us (incase he asks). he keeps posting on his Instagram notes that he needs a date, so I'm scared to tell him I'll be his date and I also don't know if it's his way of trying to ask me bc I've been noticing some signs that maybe he likes me. thats really all besides the point. I've recently tried my best to live for God and His word. idrk if my efforts are enough but I hope they are and I'll be trying my best to live more for Him and His word, and not the world. I hope right now, when you receive this message, your life is completely devoted to Him, and we have friends who are helping us get even closer to Him. I also hope that we have a really loving boyfriend, who is going to treat us right and make us happy in every way, and obviously I hope he's God-fearing too. even if we don't have a boyfriend, I just hope our life is really great right now, I hope we've achieved some, maybe not all, but some of our life goals. I hope we've finally made up our mind on our career path and are no more confused or questioning. I also hope that we have the bestest friends and not the fake ones that we think we really have in yr 10 (favour, tomiwa etc). i hope that we also have our dream body and we're no longer overweight/obese. lastly, happy 16th birthday, I hope we are happy this day, and I hope this is the first birthday message that you receive, and I really hope it makes you cry onb. happy tears definitely. I also want you to know that you're loved, and you should really love yourself, hating on yourself won't change a thing except deteriorate your mental health. I also hope that we get amazing gifts, bc we are a sucker for gifts. and I also hope that we have learned to love, not only ourself, but everyone around us, and I hope we have learned to love the right way, the genuine way, not the snobby way. that's all I have to say. btw, when you receive this message, record urself reading it (out loud) probably post it on tiktok and when you read it and answer all the questions I have for you, write another one to future future me again for two years in the future. stay blessed, ily, bye!
