Time Travelled — almost 3 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, You started to work on your Family History and did DNA tests.. Then one year ago Russian's president decided he wants to wipe off Ukraine. You had so many family members there and in Russia. It broke your heart to know how many are now gone. Your grandmother had 10 kids, she died in 2019. Age 97. She was the light of the family. You are the youngest one from the 3rd generation, and your baby boy is currently the youngest one in the 4th generation. You planned all these Family tree maps and gathered info, and now you feel helpless. Faces, smiles and hugs you will never know the warmth as they would greet you with wine and freshly baked bread, grapes and ice cream from the local shops. The war took that from you, but I hope you found your will stronger and continued to salvage what could be salvaged. I hope you had the luck to go visit at least one more time grandmother's house in Moldova. I hope you had the luck to taste one more time the apples from the garden. One more time to see the sunset glittering all over the lake next to the house. One more time to feel the sun on a hot summer day and still drink the black tea with the Moldovian pretzels. One more time to sleep on the clay bed that brings childhood memories. I hope you had luck just one more time. M.F.
