A letter from Apr 04, 2023

Time Travelled — over 2 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, today is Tuesday, March fourth. Hopefully this letter finds you when you’re striving for your best. I have so many expectations to fulfill, I want to meet at least a few of them by this time. You’re only getting older, and with that you will continue to gain responsibility and independence. I don’t necessarily have a plan for the future, I just know I want to be a part of something. Referring to that, I have a few questions. Did you finally try out or join a sport? Did you get the part you wanted for Singing in the Rain or any other musical? Have you moved out yet? Did you finally get that job as a dietary aid? Do you still want to go to the University of Iowa and become a therapist? Has your dad come back yet? I’ve created a personal list of S.M.A.R.T goals that might actually mean something for my future self. Such as taking classes or finding a job that will be a right step for what I wish to pursue. Things change all the time, they may not go your way or how you want them to go. I hope you persevered through this bump in the road and always continue to stay open-minded, because I know you can do hard things. By the time this reaches you (2025), I’m sure you can answer some of the questions. Love, your Junior self
