Time Travelled — almost 3 years

Peaceful right?

Dear Future Me, I received a letter from my past self around this time last year, I was in the last month of my 11th year of high school when I first wrote it. So much has happened since then. A coronavirus pandemic hit the globe and had everyone quarantined for about 2-3 years, which was a depressing time for me. To this day I still haven't graduated. At the peak of the pandemic, I completely failed my 12th year but switched to a new school the following school year to try again. and when I became too depressed to finish the 2nd semester, I tried again later online but I still couldn't manage to pass my classes even after one more attempt. It was like I was stuck in a neverending continuous cycle of failure fueled by my low self-esteem. So now I will be 20 in a few months without a diploma or a license. On the bright side, I've asked my mom to help me re-enroll tomorrow, hopefully, everything goes according to plan this time. It has to be because I can't afford to fail again, not just for the sake of my future but for my mental well-being. At least I'm still friends with my besties from high school though! We don't talk or see each other as much as we used to which I guess is expected as we move on in life but we still love each other the same. I've also reconnected with my childhood best friend around four years ago. We've grown closer and I've developed a relationship with her family as well! we even worked together at Starbucks for a little while, and that's where I met my first real boyfriend whom I broke up with a week after valentine's day. We only lasted 5 months but I'm really glad to be rid of him, to be honest. Plus, I already have my eye on a new guy..! So anyway I want to know how you're doing. What has happened since I wrote this? are you happy or at least happier? I hope all is well by the time I get this. Please take care of yourself. Onto the next chapter. AE
