Time Travelled — almost 3 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Hey you. What’s been going on? Can you remember this? That’s you as an 18 year old not even sure where to start in life. What’s changed? Tell me, how has your style developed even further if it has at all? Have you mastered eyeliner? What people are in your life now? Do you stick up for yourself when the time is right? Don’t tell me you’re still allowing other people to step all over you.. you deserve better than that sweetie. By the time you read this you’ll be 21. Have you gone clubbing yet?? If so, how was your experience? I hope that you’ve gotten yourself to where you desired to be from this point of time(3years ago for you). What’s your job? Have you developed healthy coping mechanisms like you’ve known you should? What habits have you possessed? What book are you currently reading? Have you gotten rid of any of your bad habits? Who still remains in your life after so many years? Do you have a cat? Where do you live now? Do you still feel lost? If you do, it’ll all be okay hun. Trust in divine timing. Everything always works out for you, you know that. Take one step at a time. Have you been doing breathing exercises or possibly meditation? In what ways do you release your stress or anxiety? I’m curious to see how you’ve grown. In this current time, I’m at school chilling in the art room next to a friend. What are you up to? I still have my downs and struggle with expressing my emotions even to myself. But my life’s gotten better in numerous ways. I’ve grown to be more comfortable in certain public settings, I’ve made friends, I’ve developed habits that serve me such as reading a chapter in a book each day as well as writing in my “I Affirm” journal, I don’t self-isolate as much as I used to, I have experienced moments I never truly thought I’d get to and so much more. I’m telling future you this to remind you of what life was like for past you. I hope you’re treating yourself right and not continuing to make the wrong decisions. Speaking of decisions, you best have stopped relying on other people to make a decision for you! Because hell no, you’ve desired to be independent, right?! Yeah you know it’s true. You’ve got your own voice to freely express! So quit staying quiet. I believe in you! I trust that you’ve done right by me. You’re making younger you so proud! Don’t stop becoming the best version of yourself now! Throughout your whole life you’ll never stop growing so be open to transformation after transformation after transformation. Remember, you are a butterfly shedding their wings and growing a new pair every now and then. Each set of wings looking more beautiful than the one before. 333
