The Fun We Had
I'm twirling
sunlight bounces off
each individual sequin
on my dress
We have flower crowns
dandelions
in our hair
clutched
between our fingers
Sweet nectar
plays tricks
on our noses
making
our hands sticky
We laugh
twirl
scream
The breeze
cooling
We run
smile
play
Then soon grow weary
lying in the grass
giggles
here
there
We reminisce
in the fun we had
merely seconds ago
There are no cares here
no worries
just simple fun
No mind
for the world
around us
Blurb: During Covid, we all had lots of free
time on our hands. My sisters and I were bored,
so we decided to dress up to play
and be silly in the field outside. We had such
an amazing time and I figured I would
write about it for you to experience too!
