A letter from Jan 25, 2023

Dear FutureMe, This has been a ****** rough year. I've never been more sick in my life, but it was also a great year! I moved to uni, by myself!! I'm all alone and surviving, I'm cooking and having fun and hanging out with new people all the time. But then 2 weeks into my first semester at university, i got really terrifyingly sick. Pneumonia. Living alone with pneumonia is mental it was awful, it felt like I'd never get better ever. But I did. And then I got sick again. I felt like whilst everyone was coming out of there shells and I was just sick in my room all the time, I couldn't do any of the fun things that everyone else was doing, and now I have to be more careful then ever, I couldn't **** around I had to concentrate on all the work I'd missed and try to stay healthy. Then I went to visit a friend after exams and had the best time ever, I got my ears pierced because I didn't have a mum and dad to tell me not to anymore. And i ended up passing out in her house with her poor parents that didn't know what to do with me. So overall its been a mess. I'm a mess. Life's a mess. But i know it gets better. That's all I'm waiting for, for it to get better. It'll be okay, I know it will. But it'll take a while to get there. That's the yearly update. Always and forever, you at almost 21
