A letter from Jan 12, 2023

Dear Jade, Hey! Today I am 16 years old and I am in 11th grade. Today is January 12th, 2022. My favourite things to do right now are reading, watching anime, listening to music, going for walks, and I'm kind of getting into writing too. My favourite colour at the moment is green. In the next year, I want to learn to become more/properly fluent in Japanese, and I've picked up learning Chinese on a whim so... Well, you'll know how that went. One thing I want to do next year would be to go back to school (I'm still doing online school right now) and prepare myself for university and whatnot. I want to do this because I'm feeling a bit worried about the future and haven't been seeing my friends much either. One thing I want to accomplish would be reading 100+ books this year. I've already started a few, except they're mega-long cultivation web novels... Haha. I wonder if I still read them. Something that I am proud of this year is... UM, I'm not sure. I'm writing this from a template but I haven't done much of anything in this past year so I'm not sure what to be proud of. My goals for next year are to be able to read novels in Japanese and start a diary (that I commit to properly, unlike my past attempts). Good luck to me! Or you! Or us? Some advice for you, everyone does things their own way so don't be afraid of going about things differently as long as you're happy. Seriously, just do whatever you want!! Go listen to Corpse Dance & Let's go to heaven for old time's sake :) P.P.S. Did I ever get rid of my manga and books collection or did I keep them?? I just got Vinland Saga book 1 & 2 yesterday... To be honest I hope you still have all of them. Don't get rid of them for my sake!!!!! 2nd half of the letter is not from the template because I realized there is more I want to say lol. Here we go. Para Larry is just getting over his cancer after treatment. Nana and he were having a really tough time but thankfully around Christmas, we went to see them and mom and Auntie Lisa helped them get things sorted out... How are Nana and Papa? And Papa Roy and Grandma Jan? Alex and Ellie are together right now, and they got engaged a while ago, some months ago I can't remember now. Did they get married yet?? I hope everything worked out for them too. Felix is 5 right now, and she's cute but has a bit of a nasty attitude, I won't lie. Hope she grows out of it. My dad is doing okay. Has he started his own small business yet, or is it still just an idea? Mom is mom, as usual. Gotta lover her. If you're not living with her right now, go give her a call. She always talks about how much she misses Alex and how he never calls, so she probably misses you too...!! I'm wondering, maybe it'd be fun to write a letter to my future self every month. It'd be a cool way to track how my life develops. This also gives me (hold on the oven timer is going off mom has chicken and veggies baking I need to stir them). Sorry, I'm back. I was saying that I'd have a reason to write a diary because, at the end of every month, I can just summarize the main points from my entries into a letter... Ok. What next? Lemme think. If you have time for the love of god re-read Lord of the Mysteries. Don't let the fact that it's twice as long as the bible discourage you, we did it once and we can do it again! How's Aneice? Does she still want to start up the hair business? Also, are you still in touch with any highschool friends?? (Eva, Sydney, Bellarosa, Etc...??)
