Dear Future Kate, wow. 3 years. that would make it 2026 for you. when you wrote this, you were a junior in high school. i hope you still have the same number or email so that you get this letter. you’re planning to work at camp this summer (2023) as a SALT. hopefully for further years you decide to become a counselor as well. you’re in college. wow. i’m so proud of you. i hope you got into your dream school, but, that’s okay if you didn’t. i want whatever plan God sets us on. i hope you’re still deep into your faith. i hope you have good friends who care about you. i hope your family life isn’t terrible. maybe we’ll have a boyfriend in 2026. that’s still crazy to imagine how long it’s been since you wrote this. you’re gonna forget and get this random email one day. i hope this makes you smile. you’ll be a sophomore in college at this point so i hope it’s treating you well. remember that you are loved by so many! especially Jesus. love, junior kate from jan 3. 2023
