A letter from Dec 31, 2022

Dear FutureMe, this is your last New Year’s before college! I’m writing to you from Peoria because this year I got to drive here and visit all my friends and spend a week with them, including New Year’s. As much fun as it is here and as excited, I am to be here. I really hope you finally made some good friends in Texas and you’re happy with them. it’s been really rough to be in Texas missing everyone here but I know that to leave this life behind I have to make friends there. It’s really hard because I think everyone finds me annoying and hard to like however, I hope you manage to meet some really good people and get over that fear. just please never ever ever forget the people here because they helped create the person you are today I need you to remember them. Make sure you remember Luke Pribaz, Kayla kinning, millie Jennetten, Arabella Kenny, Maya Zopel, Audrey Trenkle, etc. right now I am a little over a year and a half self harm free and I hope you kept that streak. I am not doing well mentally with my confidence or happiness but I hope you are. When you’re picking your college please make sure you pick one not just based off location even though I know you really want to go to Hawaii! I LOVE YOU, ruby
