Time Travelling — over 3 years

Peaceful right?

Dear senior year/twenty-two year old Robyn, Wow, how are you holding up you? I can’t believe it’s been four years you’ve been on this campus, that’s insane! And I know what you’re thinking, writing this letter felt like ages ago and yet also felt like yesterday. Time flies my friend. I think what I’ve learned in my first semester of college for writing is that you actually have to write to get a good grade. This isn’t like high school where you can just fly by without a worry in the world. I’ve definitely learned that I’ve gotten better at writing but I most definitely have a long way to go. I really hope I improve next semester and by the time you are reading this we are really good at writing. I also hope I am better at taking feedback and adding it to my paper. I will definitely keep these key points in mind for next semester for my papers, and hopefully I use them to improve in areas I want to. I think for next semester I am most excited for snow. I am sure at this point after four years you are sick of the snow, but freshmen you are so excited to get dumped on by snow for the first time. Always remember to take a break and go outside during the first snowfall, remember how much you enjoyed it and take it all in. I think you and I can both admit I am not excited for the second semester of calculus. One more semester and we are done with calculus! Well, except for physics, and probably some other times, but we are mainly done! I hope you still hate calculus as much as I do now and that at this point in our life we no longer have to do any calculus. With the points in this letter, I just hope you’ll reflect on your writing skills, but also take in how much you’ve grown over these four years as a writer. Even if you don’t think you did or if you did improve, I hope you realize how much you’ve grown and how proud of you I am. I think right now you are either in tears, stressing over finals and graduation, or just overall tired, but I’m proud of you and how far you’ve come. I think if you were to say anything you would most likely say, “wow, this felt like yesterday”, when you wrote this. If I’m right go take a break for yourself, if I’m not still go take a break. I hope you are surviving and doing amazing things. I love you with my whole heart and I’m proud of you no matter what you’ve accomplished. Until next time. First Year Robyn
