A letter from Dec 12, 2022

Time Travelled — almost 3 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Hi. I honestly don’t know what to write. I don’t know why I started writing this letter in the first place. But 20 seems like an important number. It’s your 20th birthday. The true beginning of adulthood. No longer -teen. You’re probably in university, unless we actually went crazy and published our songs? Who am I kidding, you’re in uni, studying. I do hope you’re happy. Truly. Maybe a boyfriend somewhere in the picture, maybe not. Maybe you’re finally loved. Maybe not. How is Dante doing??? I love this little furball. Did you get into the university we planned to go to? Still archeology? I wonder. And where do you work? I’ve always wanted to work in a cafe, maybe you made that reality. Are we still tattooing? I hope so. I do enjoy it a lot. Is our place nice? Do we have nice flatmates? Do we keep in touch with our high school friends? I hope so. Well, this has been nice. I’m glad we’re both still here. Very glad. And I do hope you’re truly happy. And loved. And loving. Write a letter, will you? Maybe to our 30 year old self. That seems like an important number as well. Love you 17 year old you
