A letter from Nov 16, 2022

Dear 2026 Oliver, Look at you! You graduated high school! (Hopefully with good grades and going to college as you wanted) I hope your high school years were as good as they sounded, I just started high school 3 months ago, I'm a teenie tiny freshman! But hopefully, I'm a grown and mature senior now with a good grip on what I wanna do in life because trust me I have some major purpose! What kinda job did you end up getting? Did you really have to wait until you got a car to get a job or were mom and dad just saying that? I hope I got a decent job maybe at a fast food place or something, a small job would be good to get some experience in! And I hope we get a job that we like to do maybe after college! How is JROTC? I'm gonna miss it when I graduate, it's only been 3 months, and I already treat my battalion as my family, I love all of them from the LET 1's all the way to the LET4s! I hope that maybe I can do something to expand my time with JROTC or ROTC because it's become a part of me and I really love it! Hopefully, you stayed in the drill and raider team, I really love both of them and I'm not sure why you would ever quit, but who knows, I know how indecisive I am sometimes! How are our friends? Elijah? Alyssa the Ray? Mason? Heck, even Ivan and Haylie! I hope they are all still our friends and we kept in good touch and will continue to do so! I even hope we made tons of new friends through high school too! Did you finally get to go out and be more social like we wanted? I'm getting my first phone ever for Christmas so I hope this decision that mom and dad made for us was a good one because I'm so excited about it! I'm so happy I have a social life, even if it's only a small one right now because I'm thriving in the chaotic social life that isn't in my family, I love being busy in an organized manner! I'm gonna miss high school, I remember the orientation and I was so scared- I was freaking out the entire time and now I know most of the school like the back of my hand! Tell Mr. Hilty I said hi! I hope to goodness you stayed in the band and played trumpet, it's so much fun! The band is a very fun hobby I like to extend! I hope you learned how to play your guitar better and got those guitar lessons! That's all the big points I really wanted to ask about! I just hope it was fun while it lasted, I wish it could last forever but we are an adult now, I'm scared right now but I still have so much longer, I hope that it was good for us! And I hope it was a super happy and positive journey! because now we are starting a new chapter! And I hope it won't disappoint! Well, Until I write again, Sincerely- Oliver :)
