A letter from Nov 14, 2022

Dear FutureMe, Hey Paris! I’m so happy that you made it here. I’m not positive what the future holds as of right now for how we get to the point you are at now or even if we finish it off at Miami (because you never know), but I'm proud of whatever path you have taken to get here. I hope that in the past four years here you have started to feel at home. I especially hope that you have AT LEAST learned and explored the area at this point! I hope you have looked around a little more than you do right now because you need to start living in the moment and taking in the beauty that is around you. It is a crucial part of life and remembering these once in a lifetime experiences. You always have a problem with this and I want you to be able to look back on this time and remember it and all the amazingness about it. I also hope that you were able to stay in the nursing program!! I have faith you were girlie! You are smarter and more capable than you think! If you didn’t choose to stick with nursing on your own agenda I support you in that! I trust whatever you chose was right for you! If you did stick with nursing I hope your clinicals went smoothly overall and I hope it made you excited for a future as a nurse. If you did end up studying abroad I hope it was an AMAZING experience. If we end up going I’m happy for you! Whatever you decide I’m proud of you either way, but if it’s your fears of missing out holding you back from going then I hope you are able to overcome that! I understand your fears of going away either way based on the past though so I again am proud of you either way! I also really hope in your time here you are able to take classes that really interest you that you weren’t able to major in like history! I think we will always LOVE history but I’m interested to see if this will be true lol! I also hope that we have made lifelong friends over the last four years! Right now I’m so happy with the friendships we have created and the friend group we are a part of! I would love if these are the lifelong friends I have by the end of this and I hope we only grow closer and become best friends by the end of this time in our lives, but if not remember everything happens for a reason. I hope that if not then you have made other great friendships and I hope you feel secure and loved like you always desire. I also HOPE so badly we are still best friends forever with Hailey and Ella back home! Don’t let them slip away! They are your people for life! I don’t want to put pressure on you about anything I’m writing in this but that is one thing I will put pressure on you about! They are our best friends for life and I really don’t want us to lose that! Hopefully you also experience a relationship of some sort by now but if not …. It’ll come… I HOPE!! LOL! Most of all I really hope that you are okay and at a better place with our most prevalent issue. I know you can do it and I just want us to be at a place where we are happy with ourselves and confident but also healthy and not stressing about stupid things. We have let it take away so much from us so I really hope that it didn’t take away the college experience. No matter what, I am so proud of you and I do love you!
