A letter from November 2nd, 2022

Time Travelled — almost 3 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, It’s November 2nd, the day after Israeli elections, I woke up to the horrific results that I didn’t wanna believe could be true. A government full of hate… I’m scared, I’m scared for my future and for my rights and I’m ashamed to be living within people who believe in hatred and violence, especially when it’s coming from the people closest to me. I refuse to believe that people can be so purely racist and women are willing to give up their own rights, I refuse to believe that people think Arabs should be treated as second class citizens or even worse, be ******. I’m disappointed and hope that this will be a reminder for us all to fight for what we believe and educate people and I hope u, future me, will keep fighting. How are you doing? How’s the economy? How are the holocaust survivors doing and the people with disabilities? I hope the government is a little human enough to care for them. It’s the bare minimum. The future doesn’t seem so bright, I hope ur doing ok ❤️
