Time Travelled — almost 3 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, From a very exhausted 25 years old to a hopefully (happily) exhausted 28-year-old. I'm happy you're alive and kicking and lived to see this letter. I am sure you probably forgot this exists. This is a reminder of the past but maybe less ugly than some older memories. I hope things have changed for the better. You're a part of a completely different phase of life than the one right now. But I hope you've carried that curiosity and drive to learn even after graduating. (Is it the right time to start freaking out about that PhD yet?) I hope you've found work that fulfils you, where you're tired to the bone but cannot wait to start the next day and do something more. Maybe in the last few years, even the people around have changed. I've been in an odd limbo of loneliness and independence (not that you need reminding) but maybe you have finally let yourself enjoy a little bit more and found someone to share those ups and downs with. But I hope those two precious soulmates still occupy the biggest space in your heart. And I hope even they've found happiness with everything they have dreamed of. The little ones aren't so little anymore and the old ones have become older. But I hope you still find it in you to keep in touch every single day and that you've continued to be the daughter and sister they've always been proud of. I don't know if things have become better or difficult, so I hope you remember that the me today would never imagine being able to accomplish what you have. I hope life is happier, crazier and more lively than it has ever been and that every day feels worth living, even the bad ones. After all - The bad days are there to remind us just how good the good days are. You're loved. And you will always matter <3
