A letter from Sep 09, 2022

Dear Asa, I hope things are going well. I'm just now figuring out what classes I'm going to take for fall term. Meeting my adviser in 30 mins. I just took the Spanish placement test and got a 220. You need above 350 to place out of Spanish one. Everyone seems to be taking incredibly advanced courses and it's a little freaky, but I have a gut feeling that we'll all end up in the same place. I'm going to try and become a TA for the machine shop and I'm trying to walk on to the rowing team. I'm so excited for both. I feel a little over my head, but weirdly hyped. Like, how bad can it be? I really like my roommate Nicky and my main friends right now are Jesse, Doruk, Daniel, Oli, Bond, and Riley. I still haven't partied or done anything too crazy. No love interests here except for maybe Annika in Mass. It kinda feels like I'm going in blind, but it'll be great.
