A letter from Sep 09, 2022

Dear FutureMe, Sorry to bother you. I'm sure you're sooooo busy. You still in Japan though? At this point I'm not really sure where you'll be. Btw it's currently 9/9 (Destiny Day), kinda an interesting tid bit maybe. I'm sitting in the weird office building in the BOE building. But anywho, I'm still trying to settle in. Yesterday my time, we completed our first week of classes which was a whole lot of new culminating in the first eikaiwa class. You were very nervous and you're pretty sure at least some people hated it. But I think we'll improve. Haru and Yocchan said it was mecha tanoshi and Christina gave your name a Japanese kanji 譲 which was cool. But I also hope you've improved a bit on your Japanese. I really wanna be able to talk to people and make jokes so you better have. Even if we left by now I hope we were able to express ourselves more truly. But uh yeah, you still talking to Sam? It's cool if you're not, tough circumstance and whatnot, but yeah she's cool. Anyhootles, I hope you're good with whatever you've gotten into since now. Things really are starting to move fast. We gotta remember to slow down and smell the roses sometimes. Also, remember to text mom and dad sometimes aight? I know you're forgetful and all but that's important.
