Time Travelled — almost 3 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, I thought of sending this to my future 3 years ahead in time if this dream is still out there. Exploring the world, people, culture, languages, and cities. One of my dreams is to explore It's 5/9/22. I'm listening to London Boy by Taylor Swift. I would love to explore the world and see how education is in different high-standard-rich cities and how I can contribute to the improvisation of the education system in India after coming back with all the skills and teaching that I gained throughout the years. I want to try and see what can I do to bring a change in the country, although I am sure I want to do something by returning the fruits of knowledge that I gained where the seed was first planted. I want to major in English Hons. especially at St. Stephen's College at DU. I am quite lazy to read books but from now, although I am quite late to read books, I would love to start reading them. Currently, I am reading Midnight Library by Matt Haig. Side by side, I also want to learn Mandarin and Español by taking extra classes. My mother tongue is quite not popular as compared to other regional languages in Northeast India. I've been learning Assamese since I was 6 so, so I am quite efficient in it which also leads me to some knowledge of Bengali (mostly spoken in Bangladesh and West Bengal in India) and Nagamese (spoken in Nagaland and other regions). Hindi is something that I acquired not just in school but, by watching dubbed versions of Anime such as Pokemon, Doraemon etc. This generation is quite exposed to a huge amount of indirect globalisation which in my terms, I would say it as a way in which the impact of globalisation is either not known to the person or somewhat known. After my graduation, I long to come back to live with my mom and my siblings until I join for the Fall/Spring Semester at whichever university I get into. I would love to travel with them as much as I could possibly can. I would probably opt for a Masters's in English Literature/American Studies/English Studies. But I'm not really sure about the country that I want to study in but for sure, I would love to study for a year or two in the UK. I really want to study in London (UCL, King's College London) or somewhere close to London such as (Oxford, Cambridge, University of Manchester) and my least preference goes to Edinburgh/ Glasgow although it's really pretty but I don't want cold-windy-gloomy weather all round year. Later on, I want to pursue my PhD in the US. I know I'm overthinking about the locations, but it's also about my acceptance to the school. So, I've thought about it and the following are some of the universities that I may apply to in the future for my PhD : Harvard, Columbia, Stanford, UCB, UCLA, Yale, Princeton, NYU and Chicago.
