Time Travelling — over 3 years

Peaceful right?

August 30, 2022 Dear Senior Colby, What’s up bestie? How’s school going? In middle school my grades were pretty good, did I get good grades in high school as well? Oh, we’re getting a dog in a couple weeks, so how does that go? Speaking of dogs, how is Max doing? I know that as I’m writing this as a freshman, he has some back and leg issues, so are those better now? Is he still with us? Also, at the beginning of freshman year I was a little iffy about doing choir, did it go well the first year? Did I decide to keep doing it after freshman year? Wow, I’m asking a lot of questions. Writing a message to my future self is so weird. I’m struggling to find more questions to ask because I don’t know what your/my high school experience will be like at all. Did you ever try out for any plays/musicals, and did you get in? Also, what the heck is Footloose? It’s the first musical and I have literally no clue what it is. Did Bailey ever get certified for Search and Rescue, and did dad ever get a new dog? Right now she’s still training and we’re not sure if she’ll get certified. Do you know what you wanna do when you grow up yet? Well, I guess you kind of are grown up now, so I hope you do. What college are you gonna go to next year? Well, it’s been nice catching up! I hope everything’s going well, and I wish you the best with whatever your... our future may bring. Yours truly, Freshman Colby P.S. I hope you’re happy, but don’t be happier. Do you get déjà vu? Cause all I ever wanted was to be enough for you. Brown guilty eyes, and little white lies. Yeah, I played dumb, but I always knew. Good for you, you look happy and healthy. Not me. Are you so sick of 17? Where’s my freaking teenage dream? All your friends are so cool, they go out every night. And I know we weren’t perfect, but I’ve never felt this way for no one. I say that I hate you with a smile on my face. It’s always one step forward, and three steps back. I hope that you’re okay.
