A letter from Aug 26, 2022

Dear FutureMe, Congratulations! You’re about to graduate high school and become an adult. Scary, isn’t it? If you got high school down, then you can face anything! 😉 Currently, you are sitting and writing this letter to yourself (obviously) in your first period class around 7 in the morning, listening to Tiffany’s “zzz” playlist on Spotify. It’s pretty chill and kinda gives me Lofi vibes. Hopefully, you guys are still friends. You're in the band or were, until you graduated of course. I wonder if I ever made it into the wind ensemble? That would be really cool if you asked me. Remember all those fun and those ****** up times? Preferably, just remember the good times though😅 Highschool was something else, right? All those band memories, and you most likely forgot most of them. At least hold onto the fun times and forgot the times when you messed up or didn’t make it into the honor band (if you didn’t that is, if you did make it 💪) When you get older, maybe you’ll still remember how to play the euphonium or the tuba or any of the other instruments you know how to play. If you become a music director, then you’ll learn so many instruments. I want to learn more instruments and hopefully by the end of high school, I’ll know how to play at least 6-7. Did I? Also, did you make any band friends? Did you “adopt any freshman along the way? 😂 Wouldn’t that be something. I just want a good year of band class and to make some band friends since most of my friends are in chorus or orchestra...😐 Speaking of friends, how are your friends? I bet you lost and made some along the way down life. The friends currently I don’t want to lose are Sophia, Tiffany, Gaby, Bean, Marek, and Annabella. Right now, some of my friends are slowly drifting away from me...which is fine. If I don’t seem right for them, that’s their ******* problem. I’m good enough and will find others I bet that will put up with me😙Will you make any significant others? Hopefully because you don’t want to be single forever. So far, you only dated one person for like 3 months 2 years ago. That seems weird. Dating in seventh grade...on top of that an eighth grader at the time. That's some pretty messed up ****. But anyways, how's the family? Do they still love you? Do you still have regular family dinners? Did family die? Right now, our family is great. Everyone is happy and Harper just got a piano. I get to teach her some scales and things so I’m excited. There really isn’t much going on with the family, but we are all alive and well (most at least). As for yourself, so far, you're doing great. You haven’t lost any friends yet (well maybe this one friend), or at least the friends that really mean something to you. You talk to Marek more often and it’s nice to just talk about my day without him having any bias. Well, since he doesn’t know anyone that you’re talking about, it can be hard to tell him each person and what they look like or their personality. But anyways, do you still talk to him? Wouldn’t that be cool. He’s going to start school here soon, so I might not talk to him every single weekday, but if I can talk at least once a week it will be good for me. But enough about him, this paragraph was about you. You have currently watched over 50 anime shows and over 15 movies. My goal is to at least get to 70+ shows and 20 movies. Seems like a lot, but with a little bit of confidence and sleep deprivation, you too can be like an otaku. I don’t know what I was saying. It was that one meme back in the day. You’re still adopted and Asian (bruh wtf is this sentence, ofc I'm still those). I’m just trailing off right now. You are very sociable right now. There are occasions when you don’t want to talk to anyone, but that’s rare. You made it. You passed. Now it’s on to ⭐adulthood⭐. When you start procrastinating, just remember this quote from your ninth grade English Honors teacher. “Just because you’re graduating, doesn’t mean you’re done”-Mrs. Benedict. Be responsible and everything will fall into place. You’ll get that land and build your dream house and farm. You’ll own so many animals, but you need to first get money.
