A letter from Aug 26, 2022

August 25, 2022 Mrs. Bonilla Letter to my future self Dear future me, I am writing to you today to document my nineth grade year of high school because I most likely have forgotten the details. I want to congratulate myself for graduating and I want to be able to remember my beginnings as a 9th grade student at gulf coast. I hope for many things during my high school years. I hope that I can ace my classes and that I don’t stop working hard, I hope that I find many new friends who I will get along with more so than middle school, and I hope that I can discover what I want to do after I graduate. In all, I hope that I can build a good foundation for my future while also having a great time during high school. I hope that I get above average grades in school. The first reason why I hope for this because it will set a goal for me to follow through with and will make me better for not only college but for sports as well. The second reason why I hope for this is because scoring high is not just academical, I also am talking about my personal sprinting records in track which I aim to beat in the years to come. The last reason why is because these grades will help me get into better schools in the future. I hope that I will make a lot of friends in all my classes in high school. The first reason why I hope to make a lot of friends is because I want to enjoy my classes during school, the second reason why I hope for this is because most if not all of my friends from middle school have lost contact from me and go to separate schools, the third and last reason why I hope for this is because I want to do things outside of school more often with people other than just my family. I hope that I discover what I want to do with my life after graduating. I hope for this because I have no idea what I want to do as of right now which frightens me a little, the second reason why I hope for this is because I want to start preparing and planning out for whatever it is, the last reason why I hope for this is because the world is changing rapidly and having a plan is essential to do good in such an environment. In conclusion, I really want to maintain quality and a foundation for my life ahead along with building good long-lasting relationships with more people. I have hoped for good grades, good friendships, and an idea of my life after graduating. These grades will help me get into a good college, friends will help me have a fun time, and knowing what I want will prove to be essential.
