Dear FutureMe,
On August 23, 2022, an orientation was held for the freshmens and sophomores of BA and BS Psychology students. Everyone was jolly. Everyone looks like the type of person that will really extend help to other people and great at sympathizing them. They are all outspoken and opinionated; quite different from my personality. Contrary to the popular belief, I would only help if its convenient to me, I suck at comforting and connecting emotionally to people. That's when I realized how much effort I should exert in "leaving my comfort zone". It's only a day after classes had started and I started to regret choosing Psychology. "I should have chosen a course on CSM cuz most of friends are there." "will I fit in here okay?". I am hoping some kind of miracle will happen that will stopped my past self from confirming my first choice and instead pick an alternative course. Future me, how are you? did you gave up and shift to another course? are u still in psych but choose to stay because its hassle to shift, but still regret it? or did you really enjoy ur whole college journey as a BS Psych student? I just wish you the best. By the time you read this letter again, you must be near graduation. I'm proud of you.
