A letter from Aug 17, 2022

Dear me, Happy 21st birthday! The current date is 8/16/2022 and we (our family) just moved to Oregon. We just finished our first term of Academic overload and are 37/124 credits through our MECH degree. Hopefully, by now we are getting ready for our Master's degree abroad (praying for Oxford!). Our current finish date is as early as November of 2023, but at 20 credits/semester, it'll be June of 2024. Family life is getting better. We are planning on going back to IL in the summer of next year and then going to South Dakota where we will permanently settle down. Then we are planning to build the tiny homes, barn, and the house. At this point, I hope we're either in our tiny home or living in another country working on school (perhaps with someone(?)). I might just write Maellie Lewna a letter. She's been all that's been on my mind as of late. Not sure how that will go. I know you will have some insight. I hope our faith life is much better than it is right now. It may be better than most, but it is nowhere near what I would like it to be. If... if Memere and Papa aren't with us anymore, I want you to know they love you and I'm keeping in touch with them. Most people from Illinois have stopped talking to me. Tyler S, Newburn boys, Megan and Elyse, Corey, Cameron, Jenna, and Joy are just about everyone that has kept in contact. I wonder how many are still? It doesn't matter either way. You better have visited Tim and possibly Jess. I think this has gone on longer than it should. Enjoy your 21st birthday, Me You
