A letter from Aug 01, 2022

On August the 1st 2022, Joseph Odelstad from Sweden and Ronan Evans from England decided they would write an email to their future selves to assure they have stayed in contact three years down the line. Part of the reason they worried they wouldn't so was because of Ronan’s final exams in his last year of school. He feared the focus on his real life would make his conversations with Jojo less frequent. By the end of year ten, he was already speaking to Jojo maybe once every two weeks very briefly. Hopefully, if they leave one another, they believe this email may pull them together again. On this date in the summer of ‘22, they made a promise to one another that they will stay together. On August the 1st 2025, Joseph will be 20, nearly 21, and Ronan will be 18. They have been online friends since 2017. They haven’t met eachother yet, but they would like to. Here are the letters they wrote to one another: Hello there future Jojo! My name is Ronan Evans (full name for if you ever try to find out: where is he now? Wonder what he’s doing? Did he EVER fix those dang teeth?), I am 15 years old today on Monday the 1st of August 2022. I am aware you do not have dementia (DONT AGE BAD DONT AGE BAD) but to make you all emotional or whatever if I died in a car accident here’s how we met: Set the scene: Undertale is absolutely hype. Twenty One Pilots is banging. Jacksepticeye and Markiplier have horrific dyed hair. Yessir you got it, you’re a 13 year old My Chemical Romance emo in the dawn of 2017. You have a cool drawing and animation app to share your r/im14andthisisdeep artworks called Framecast. We met on this humble little platform using bloody creepypasta roleplay accounts (well actually, my original user was xXShadowkid2Xx and I made that cp account just for your attention). From there began our long, twisting and constantly evolving friendship. This camaraderie grew strongest from the day (or probably late night) that we decided to create a dnd group that accidentally became the first of many storylines of a large world; The Kejchub Universe. Since then, on Discord and Instagram, we have been getting ever closer. Here are some things you and I are currently working on: Kejchub (itll never end!) Villain Project (Levy Nord and Rudolf Valdez) Dungeons and Dragons campaign we HOPEFULLY will do!!!! Experiment Subjects Project And our newest addition to the family: Cowboy sickass horror story with the necromancing Julian Hayes and vengeance hungry Carlos! Who has no surname just yet yahoooo : D! I hope my fav unapologetically cringe lord is still out there being edgy and drawing angsty art of kejchub characters with me! And if somehow, someHOW we are not still buds, please contact me. Even if we (SOMEHOW) ended on bad terms. Please find a way to speak to me again, it would mean a lot to past Ronan. (Now muhahahahah I am adding this bit here that you didn’t see when I showed you what I was going to write. You my friend have to wait three years!) Knowing me, Jojo, if we had a big argument or something of that sort. Im sorry. Let’s be honest, I know im stubborn, and the argument is probably my fault. I can be like that. Know that I will never stop loving you, you’re my closest friend. I don't find you annoying or any of that rubbish I know you secretly think. Honestly. Youre one of the most important and influential people of my life. You mean a whole lot. Please ping me a text or an email. I think that our lives should overlap, it almost feels like the natural way of the world. Like the earth would travel in the wrong direction if we ever disconnected, the rivers would flow backwards and the trees would let out screams from their silent roots. I don't want to forget what it is like to have that great rush of dopamine when we text and get super excited. I hope when we meet it isnt awkward. Thats one of my greatest fears. That we see eachother after all these years for the first time and its uncomfortable, or it doesnt work, or we are just too different in the real world. Dont let us be awkward guys. Cmon big lads.
