A letter from Jul 31, 2022

Dear FutureMe, Today is Jul 31 and tomorrow is august which is literally crazy it feels like it was just christmas. Anyways in the school holidays I met this guy named Neo that i really like. I met him at perisher in the lodge cause he was staying there too and we started talking by hanging out with all the kids there. On the last night it was so fun cause all the teens stayed up till 1am talking and i got to sit next to him on a 2 seater couch with a duna and i got his snap too. I instantly liked him the moment I laid my eyes on him as anyone does with a holiday crush. I started talking to him more and found out he lives in queenscliff which is literally 15min away from me. I didn't think he liked me at all until he texted me he liked me but took it back with a he lost a bet with his friends, which was obviously a lie but I was kinda glad he said that cause that's such a lame way to tell a girl you like them. Eventually we started having actual convos about random things and got 1st on each others bestfriends lists and I'm starting to really like him. Honestly I think he's perfect. He asked me to do something so we are going to mini golf i think on saturday which im really nervous about but also super excited and idk what to wear. It's kinda scary how perfect he is cause usually when ur 14 you just get with a guy cause he's hot but hes so much more than that there are so many reasons to like him. I haven't told my parents yet well I mean they already met him at the lodge but I should probably eventually tell him that I'm seeing him on saturday but i don't really know how to do it cause idk how they will react. I'm so happy and I really hope he becomes my boyfriend cause i don't really have friends so I can spend a bunch of time with him. I have a strong feeling we will get together so I always wonder if I won't remember my life with him not in it. This is so weird cause usually a holiday crush is someone u look at for a few days and forget about but im seeing him in 5 days and i think i'm falling for him. I hope really hope it worked out well by the time I read this letter. Why I like him: • he’s hot • Hes Funny • he Snowboards and use to ski so I can go out w him in the snow • We go to the Same lodge meaning we can go on holidays together all the time and when we r old we can bring our kids there and put them in cute lil ski fits • He’s actually nice and genuine unlike other guys • He drinks tea. Like green flag right there. I drink tea. • He’s Not cocky and overconfident but he’s also not shy and knows how to talk • Not to be shallow just a benefit but he’s probably rich I mean he goes to shore • Even though we literally met on a holiday we live 15min away from each other • he’s good with little kids and hangs out with them • he’s kinda smart meaning he actually cares about his grades • his best subject is math just like me so our kids will b math geniuses • he is social and goes out literally all the time like wtf I wish • He has 2 cats and so do I. I feel like guys that have cats are just so much better cause they know boundaries but are also affectionate • he snaps back quickly and we are first on each others best friend lists • he has a cool name • He is close with his mum which I think is a good sign for guys
