A cure yet?

Dear FutureMe, When or if you read this you will have had diabetes for 40 years. Researchers promised a cure was "just around the corner" as long as you can remember. But you always knew that wouldn't happen, huh? Congratulations, if you have made it this far. Right now, in 2006, you have health insurance, excellent medical care, the best technology (insulin pump and blood test meters) and you exercise daily. But it's only a matter of time.
