Dear M,
I’ve no idea what to say.
Have you finished college? I know that currently I am wondering how I will pay for the upcoming semester. To be honest, I don’t want to think about the overwhelming amount of debt you must have compiled.
Are you still with C? Today, we celebrated his mother’s birthday. Last night, we spent the hours together after he picked me up from work and bought me a 10-piece nugget because I was shaking from having worked over 8 hours with barely anything to eat. Don’t get me wrong, I love my job and I hope that you remember it dearly—assuming that you have moved on to bigger, better things…
But C is very important to me.
C makes me realize how lucky I am that—if the multiverse were truly a thing—this is my universe. Although there are a multitude of things that I would change about my life in a heartbeat, C is one of few things that I hope to keep. This coming September, we will officially reach our third year mark. I hope that I’m not just hopelessly in love with someone who becomes nothing but a memory. Like most couples, we’ve promised to stay together forever. Hopefully, that promise has yet to break.
Maybe you and C have moved on to a new stage in life. Living together? Engaged? Anything? I can’t imagine life without him now that he is here.
Enough about him though, how is our family? Are our parents doing okay? How about our brother? I wish I were closer with my family. It feels a bit too late so I’ll content myself with what we have now.
And how about our cat? Or how about C’s dogs? Are there any new animals?
Anyway, I hope that you’re taking care of yourself.
With love,
M.
