A letter from Jul 01, 2022

Dear FutureMe, Today is July 1st 2022. I am on my way to my first shift in Our Lady’s Children's Hospital Crumlin. I have been working with the agency since June 8th 2022, and have already had the chance to work in University Maternity Hospital Limerick, Cork University Maternity Hospital, The Coombe Women and Infant University Hospital and University Hospital Limerick. Since starting my BSc in Midwifery, I have felt like I have truly found my purpose. The last time I wrote one of these letters, I was planning to move to Australia, and then COVID 19 hit and disrupted everything. I moved to Limerick and worked in 2 pubs before started as a HCA this summer. (Remember Bobby Brynes🤮🤮🤮 and Hunters🤢🤢). I made some friends this year, and lost some too. But that’s okay. This year I reached a point in my life where I am alive for my own happiness, life is meant to be enjoyed. Getting the chance to work in a job I really love while making money is one of the most gratifying things ever. I am currently planning a trip around Europe for 2.5 weeks!! I’m so excited!!! I’m going to see 7 countries!! I will be Interrailing and I have a plan to bring 5 outfits and 3 books and see how we go from there 🤷🏽‍♀️. You should be graduating soon, and I just want to remind you how proud I am of you. This path was one you chose on a whim and it has ended up playing out beautifully so far. I am writing this email to remind you of who you are. When you put your mind to it, you can make yourself truly happy. You are an amazing and smart woman. You have come so far and fought against so many obstacles. You have over come the hardest battle, which is your battle against your BPD. I know that right now I’m still struggling every now and then, but I know that I am going to keep working on myself so when I make it to graduation I am ready for whatever the world has to throw at me. I am inspired by thinking about the future and all of the changes I can make to the world. Just keeping being you, and inspiring the people you meet along the way. Love you xx 2022 Sorcha
