Time Travelled — over 4 years

Peaceful right?

Dear Future Me, I'm finally on the brink of adulthood! I didn't think I'd make it this far! By the time you receive this email, you should be out of college with a nice job and an apartment of your own. Jeez... you already know this, but you've changed so much since the beginning of the pandemic. Our parents split, you dyed your own hair, you're finally going out with someone should be the man of your dreams. How is he anyways? Is he still the big, softy, indecisive goofball, with a childish air about him? Is is hair still fluffy? Did he ever propose? Did you guys get married? Are you planning on having kids?! This is going to be reeeeeeally awkward if you didn't. We've been together for about a year and a half at the time of me writing this, and I'm still gushing about him as though we've started dating. He's a really amazing guy, and I hope he's my first and last lover. I'm still young and inexperienced so please note, if you're reading this with a future partner, it's coming from a place of anxiety‼️Dad and the kids are doing fine. How are the twins? Did they survive highschool, and did Kai ever drop that freakish obsession with Mathew Lillard? OH and how's my new niece/nephew? I pray they're NOTHING like our current one. I don't know if you need to hear this right now, but you've got this, and you need to start giving yourself more credit for your achievements and accomplishments. I currently do that thing where I thank past Me for leaving keys in an easily accessible area, or for cleaning the room before a guest comes over, but right now I wanna thank you. If you're anything like the me I envisioned myself to be, you're what has kept me going on days where I wanted to put the comforter over my head and slide into a long, long sleep. I still have a lot of growing to do, but I hope i grow into a person as great as you. It's sad but understandable as to why you aren't gonna write back, but I'll see you, and everyone i love in the future.
